Proverbs 2:9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
Experience and the people who love us don’t always give wisdom, and God doesn’t always answer the questions we ask. How many times have you gotten into a mess because you listened to someone who gave you bad relationship advice? How many times have you asked God “Why?” and He didn’t choose to explain?
God places wise people into our lives, and He uses every experience to mold us and carry us to a new level, if we allow Him to. It’s important to ask God for wisdom, to read what He’s already said and listen for what He’s saying now. As we internalize the scriptures, God brings them to mind when we need them most.
Even though it’s not particularly about wisdom, I like this Guidepost story because it shows reminds me how God can reach my heart when it’s tuned into Him and not just focused on me.
Lord, thank You for not being silent, not being too far above us. You are amazing, and we will never be You, but please keep growing us and teaching us, so that we can live always by Your side and walk in Your wisdom.
