I love music! Me gusta la musica! J’aime la musique! Gustung-gusto ko musika!
Bolivia rides on the Andes mountains, and the music from the Andes is just hypnotic. I’m not sure where this is from, but enjoy this flute. Here’s some “celestial” music directly from Bolivia itself. Bolivia rests closer to the sky than the ocean, sharing Lake Titicaca with Peru. The lake sits at 3,811 m (12,503 ft) above sea level—the highest lake on earth that is still commercially navigable. Did you know that if you sponsor a Compassion child, Compassion International offers some really great trips where you can tour the child care centers and enjoy a fun day at a theme park or other local attraction with your Compassion child? I bet Deysi would love that!
Tagolog rocks! Tagalog is the Filipino language, and I know my sister Keri is going to love the bit o’ ska I found here. I can just see John Michael in THOSE glasses! This one here might be a little older, but the pictures of the Philippines are GORGEOUS—and you can Karaoke along. I’m thinking about that Compassion trip even more now!
IF you prefer a little more familiar music with a global groove, check out Playing for Change, where musicians from all over the world jam together on the classics. Enjoy the music, and please pray for these little kiddos. They are waiting for someone to give the a chance. This month, I’m participating in Compassion International’s “Release 3” project, praying that the three children whose information I have on my desk today will connect with three of you. John Michael, Mathias and Deysi need a few years of your time and $38 per month, to make it through those upcoming teen years and into an adulthood that holds real promise instead of just dreams. In case you wonder, I will never take your money or your credit info. I will send you to the Compassion site and providing you with sign-up information. I get nothing but the joy of knowing that I helped a few more children by spreading the word.
Please let me know if you’d like to sponsor one of them, and I’ll send you the information. If you have any difficulty responding through WordPress, find me on Facebook or email me at email@example.com.
